A tragic standoff in Plainville, Connecticut, ended in a murder-suicide involving 27-year-old Patrick King, who shot his girlfriend, their 4-year-old daughter, and a 12-year-old stepdaughter before taking his own life.
Police and SWAT teams responded to a domestic disturbance call on Milford Street, where they found the victims and suspect.
The victims were identified as Felicia Matthews, 31, Ava R. King, 4, and Melina Matthews, 12.
King had called his sister and mother before shooting himself in the head, despite police efforts to negotiate his surrender.
The weapon used was registered, and King had a permit to carry it.
