However, fact-checking by Grok, an AI chatbot, revealed that the photos were AI-generated or edited, and the video was authentic.
Reliable sources, including Israeli officials, Snopes, and the Jerusalem Post, confirmed that Netanyahu is alive and active, having spoken publicly as recently as March 12, 2026.
The rumors were fueled by claims that a video of Netanyahu addressing the public was AI-generated, but Grok debunked these claims, stating that there is no indication of the official video being a fake.
Additionally, Yair Netanyahu, the Israeli PM's son, was falsely accused of not posting anything on X since March 8, 2026, but he had reposted posts on March 9.
Both Netanyahu and his son are alive and doing well, according to all accounts.
