Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has revealed that he recently underwent successful treatment for prostate cancer.
The 76-year-old leader said the cancer was discovered during a routine check-up after surgery for an enlarged benign prostate a year and a half ago.
Netanyahu said doctors found a tiny spot of less than a centimeter in the prostate, which turned out to be a very early stage of a malignant tumor with no spread or metastases.
He opted for treatment and removal of the problem, citing his preference for addressing potential dangers immediately.
Netanyahu assured the public that he is healthy and in excellent physical condition.
