Israel PM Benjamin Netanyahu has appeared in a video on X to address rumors of his death, showing he has five fingers and not six as speculated by social media users.
In the video, Netanyahu is seen addressing someone behind the camera, saying 'I'm dying for coffee… Do you want to count the number of fingers?' He also reassures the public that the government, IDF, and Mossad are working 'very strongly' on matters in Iran and Lebanon.
The video was released after at least two days of social media posts claiming Netanyahu had been 'unalived' or 'deleted', with some users speculating that his earlier video was AI-generated.
Netanyahu's office had previously clarified that the rumors were 'fake news' and that the Prime Minister was fine, but the speculation continued until the video was released.
