New Jersey Teacher Jason Howe Arrested for Sexually Assaulting Teen Student

A New Jersey high school teacher, Jason Howe, has been arrested after a student reported an alleged sexual relationship.

A 26-year-old chemistry teacher and coach from New Jersey has been arrested and charged with sexually assaulting a teenage student.

Jason D Howe, who taught at Sterling High School in Somerdale, was arrested on April 3, 2026, after a report was made that he had a sexual relationship with a student.

He is charged with second-degree sexual assault and second-degree endangering the welfare of a child.

According to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office, a female student came forward reporting a sexual relationship with her teacher, Howe.

Detectives launched an investigation and determined that Howe and the victim engaged in sexual intercourse at his apartment in March 2026.

The student was at least 16 but under 18 at the time of the alleged incident.

Howe was arrested the same day the report was made and is being held at the Camden County Correctional Facility until a detention hearing next week.
