The FBI investigation into Nancy Guthrie's disappearance has entered a new stage, with no suspect identified yet. Former FBI Special Agent Jennifer Coffindaffer proposed a new theory, suggesting that the suspect was someone Nancy knew and could identify.

Coffindaffer believes the abductor wore a mask and hood to conceal their identity, as they likely knew Nancy and her family. She pointed out that the suspect took significant measures to maintain anonymity, including masking up in the middle of the night.

The FBI has released surveillance footage showing a masked person tampering with a camera at Guthrie's residence. Forensic researcher Dr. Gary Brucato suggests that the person responsible may have had a passing relationship with the victim and possibly a history of inappropriate or criminal behavior.
