Brett Barley, a seasoned fisherman from North Carolina, recently captured a heart-stopping GoPro video of a massive shark feeding frenzy off the coast of Cape Point. The incredible footage shows Barley's personal vessel surrounded by numerous sharks, who appear to be devouring baitfish in a 4-acre wide area.
Barley, a surfer and fisherman, has traveled the world, but has a special affinity for Outer Banks surfing. He's a devoted family man, married to Casey, and father to Masen. The fisherman is also deeply religious and credits his faith for guiding him through life's challenges.
Interestingly, Barley has a connection to 11-time WSL World Champion Kelly Slater, whom he met in Hawaii while surfing the Pipeline. The two surfers shared a special moment at Slater's surf ranch in Santa Clara, California.
According to WRAL, a local news station, Barley was fishing from his personal vessel when he accidentally caught a shark, which broke free after chewing through the line. Later, he returned to the area and encountered the feeding frenzy, which he captured on camera.
