A passenger train linking North Korea and China arrived in Beijing on Friday, marking the first time in six years that such train service has resumed.
According to reports from Chinese and South Korean state media, the train services will connect Beijing and Dandong in China with Pyongyang, facilitating cross-border travel and boosting economic, trade, and cultural exchanges between the two countries.
The Chinese railway operator said that the services will run four times a week between Beijing and Pyongyang, and daily between Dandong and Pyongyang.
The train, which departed Pyongyang yesterday, arrived at a railway station in Beijing at 8:40 am local time today.
China is North Korea's largest trading partner, and the revival of train services is expected to have a positive impact on the economies of both countries.
