Afghanistan accused Pakistan of carrying out an airstrike on a Kabul hospital that killed at least 400 people, escalating a conflict between the two neighbors.
The strike came after the two sides exchanged fire along their shared border, killing four people in Afghanistan.
Pakistan rejected the allegations, saying its strikes targeted military installations and terrorist support infrastructure.
The conflict has raised alarm internationally, particularly as the region remains a base for militant organizations such as al-Qaida and the Islamic State group.
