Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar suffered a hairline fracture after tripping at the Foreign Office while greeting foreign ministers for US-Iran peace talks.

The incident occurred on Sunday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where Pakistan held quadrilateral consultations with Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Turkey to discuss a Middle East crisis.

Dar was diagnosed with a hairline fracture in the shoulder, but is expected to recover with medication and precautionary measures.

Despite the mishap, Dar briefed visiting dignitaries on the prospects of US-Iran talks in Islamabad, which they expressed full support for.

The talks focused on proposals to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, which Iran has blocked since February 28.

Pakistan has emerged as a mediator, having relatively good ties with Washington and Tehran, and has offered to host meaningful talks between the US and Iran in the coming days.
