Pakistani authorities have taken stringent security measures in Rawalpindi and Islamabad ahead of possible talks between the US and Iran.
Over 10,000 police personnel have been deployed and 600 checkpoints have been established across Rawalpindi, with a complete ban on drone flights, pigeon flying, and aerial firing.
Restaurants, parks, and other public places in the city have been closed until further notice, and a red alert has been declared in the vicinity of Nur Khan Airbase and Islamabad Airport.
Security measures also include the closing down of all boys' and girls' hostels within Rawalpindi and the restriction of movement on roofs, balconies, and windows along sensitive routes.
The authorities say that special measures have been taken for the security of the delegations, and citizens have been instructed to report any suspicious activity or security concerns.
