A major explosion ignited a five-alarm fire at a Queens residence, injuring ten people, including seven police officers.
The incident occurred during a dispute at a property on 130th Street in South Richmond Hill, where a man was reportedly armed with a knife.
As officers attempted to enter the premises, an explosion occurred, propelling the officers and causing serious injuries.
Over 100 firefighters and EMS personnel were deployed to extinguish the fire, which originated in one home and spread to the adjacent property.
No fatalities have been reported, and the officers transported to the hospital are in stable condition.
The cause of the explosion is currently under investigation.
