Nancy Guthrie remains missing two months after her family reported her disappearance on February 1. Her daughter, Savannah Guthrie, returned to host NBC's TODAY show as authorities continue searching for the 84-year-old.

A new ransom note has been sent, offering chilling details about the case. The note, sent by the same person who'd been offering to expose the kidnappers for months, demands 1 bitcoin to 'deliver them on a silver platter' and claims to have seen Guthrie alive in Sonora, Mexico.

However, the sender also claims 'she is dead' in the note, and further states they'd been out of the US for more than five years and had nothing to do with the 'horrific' crime.

Former FBI agent Jennifer Coffindaffer shared her insight on the profile of the person sending the ransom note, warning that it was a 'sick' individual who chose to send the note the same day as Savannah returned to the TODAY show.

The FBI, assisting the Pima County Sheriff's Department in the case, does not appear to have taken the ransom notes seriously, as no deposits were made in the Bitcoin account.
