Gallego expressed regret for not confronting Swalwell earlier, saying 'I fell for it like everyone else. I fell for the lies. I regret it.'
The House Ethics Committee has launched an inquiry into Swalwell's alleged sexual misconduct, and he has refuted all of the allegations.
