Moscow accused Ukraine of violating the Kremlin-declared 32-hour Orthodox Easter truce by targeting Russian troop positions.

Russia recorded nearly 2,000 ceasefire violations by Ukrainian forces during the initial 16 hours of the truce, the Russian Defence Ministry said.

The settlements of Gai and Otradnoye in the Dnepropetrovsk Region were targeted, along with the Pokrovskoye area, where Ukrainian forces attacked Russian troops three times.

Russian forces repelled all attacks and thwarted four Ukrainian attempts to advance near Kondratovka and Novaya Sech in the Sumy Region.

Ukrainian news portal UNIAN.NET reported several ceasefire violations by Russian forces, including an attack on an ambulance in the Sumy region.
