Russia has reaffirmed its stance on oil supply, stating that it will not seek permission from other countries, citing national sovereignty. Dmitry Birichevsky, Director of the Department for Economic Cooperation at Russia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, emphasized that decisions on oil production and exports are solely within the country's jurisdiction.

The remarks come at a time of heightened sensitivity in global energy markets due to ongoing conflicts and supply chain disruptions. Western countries have imposed price caps and trade restrictions on Russian oil, but Moscow has redirected its exports to alternative markets in Asia and other regions.

By reinforcing its position, Russia appears to be signaling its intention to operate independently in determining its energy export strategies, despite external pressure.
