A lockdown at the Stonestown Galleria shopping mall in San Francisco was lifted shortly before 3pm Wednesday after police responded to reports of an armed person making threats at the mall around 11:40 am.
According to SFPD spokesperson Allison Maxie, officers worked with the mall authorities to clear out the threat, deploying a bomb squad, police dogs, and an SFPD tactical team.
No shots were fired, and no injuries have been reported.
The mall was evacuated after a possible armed person was spotted, prompting an alert from the San Francisco Department of Emergency Management asking the public to evacuate the mall and avoid the area.
A massive police presence was seen outside and inside the mall as the investigation continues.
