The Arcadia Police Department has lifted the lockdown at the Santa Anita Mall in Arcadia, California, after receiving a report of an armed man on Wednesday.
According to the police, no threats or suspects were located during their systematic search of the mall.
The lockdown was lifted, and normal business operations at the mall have resumed.
Earlier, there were fears of a shooting, but initial reports did not indicate whether any shots had been fired.
Police officers were seen conducting an investigation at the mall, and a police armored vehicle was spotted in front of a JC Penney.
The Arcadia Police Department had initially asked people to avoid the area until further notice.
