The search for Nancy Guthrie, mother of Savannah Guthrie, is turning cold as the FBI and Pima County Sheriff's Office struggle to find a lead in the case. Despite a country-wide search, no solid lead has been found, and new updates on a potential suspect are becoming rarer by the day.

The FBI released a video of a person of interest from a doorbell camera, but investigators have not been able to identify a direct suspect. The case was initially mischaracterized as a search-and-rescue case rather than a potential criminal case, which was described as a critical misstep.

Investigative journalist Jonathan Lee Riches reported potentially suspicious activities outside Nancy Guthrie's home, including the movement of boxes without her consent. He described the whole case as 'pure evil.'

Savannah Guthrie is set to return to the Today show on Monday, April 7, at 7:00am ET, resuming co-anchor duties, but the search for her mother remains ongoing.
