The US Geological Survey (USGS) reported the tremor occurred at a depth of 9 km (5.59 miles).
Meanwhile, a 4.9 magnitude earthquake hit California, with tremors felt in San Jose and other areas.
Additionally, a 7.4 magnitude undersea earthquake shook northern Indonesia, causing a small tsunami and at least one fatality.
