A school bus carrying students from Dillard Charter Academy collided with a bridge in Goldsboro, North Carolina, injuring six students.

The bus driver was taken to a hospital by air, while the injured children were transported to UNC Health Wayne for evaluation and treatment.

According to witnesses, the bus was traveling at a high speed when it veered off course and struck the bridge structure, causing significant damage to the front of the vehicle.

Emergency responders were present at the scene within minutes, and an investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
