A shooting was narrowly averted near a Home Depot outlet in Bastrop, Texas, after a suspect was taken into custody by police.
According to the Bastrop Police Department, the incident occurred at around 3:49pm on Wednesday afternoon, when a man opened fire at multiple vehicles in the parking lot using an AR 15 rifle from the back of his vehicle.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported, only property damage. The first officer on the scene was able to apprehend the suspect without incident.
The area was cordoned off, and residents were advised to avoid the area while the police conducted an active investigation.
