Multiple areas in north Texas, including Fort Worth and Dallas, were placed on a tornado warning on Monday. The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a tornado watch for Paris, Wichita Falls, Dallas, Denton, Mount Pleasant and Sherman.
The NWS warned of 'a couple' of strong tornadoes, scattered hail up to the size of a tennis ball, and gusts of up to 70mph.
The Fort Worth area is expected to be significantly affected, with the NWS office in Fort Worth issuing an alert for 17 counties.
Michigan also saw significant tornado damages on Friday, with at least two confirmed twister touchdowns in Three Rivers and Union City.
