Minh Duy Tong Nguyen, also known as Tony Playboy, a notorious gang leader, has been taken into custody by ICE Houston after spending over three decades behind bars.
Nguyen was once a fugitive wanted for murder and attempted murder in connection with a 1989 shootout at Givral's Sandwich Shop in Houston's Little Saigon area that left two people dead and three injured.
He escaped to Canada but was captured days later and extradited to the U.S. to stand trial for murder. Nguyen was sentenced to 45 years in state prison and served his time before being released and taken into ICE custody on April 16.
ICE announced his arrest in a post on X, stating that Nguyen's deportation order is over 25 years old and he is now set to be deported.
