Tornado Warning Issued for Southeastern Minnesota: Rochester, Marion, Stewartville on Alert

As per storm chasers, the tornado is currently near Rochester International Airport, Minnesota.

A tornado warning has been issued for portions of southeastern Minnesota, effective immediately. The National Weather Service confirmed a tornado located 7 miles east of Hayfield, moving east at 30 mph.

The affected areas include southwestern Olmsted County, north central Mower County, and southeastern Dodge County. The tornado is forecast to be near Rochester and Stewartville around 2:05 PM CDT.

Rochester Public Schools have taken precautions, moving students to designated safety areas and delaying dismissal until an all-clear is issued by the National Weather Service.

Residents in the affected areas are urged to take precautions and follow the instructions of local authorities.
