A tornado watch has expired in parts of Wisconsin, but residents are still urged to remain cautious as severe weather conditions can change.
The National Weather Service announced the expiration of Tornado Watch 129 at 8 p.m. CDT this evening, affecting 14 counties across central, east-central, north-central, and northeast Wisconsin.
While the immediate tornado threat has eased, officials continue to urge residents to monitor local weather updates as conditions can still change.
Severe weather has impacted parts of Wisconsin since the beginning of the week, with multiple rounds of storms bringing heavy rain, large hail, strong winds, and widespread power outages.
Gov. Tony Evers declared a state of emergency on Wednesday in response to the widespread impacts, including significant damage, flooding, and hazardous conditions.
Residents are encouraged to stay alert, look out for their neighbors, and take good care of each other as the storms continue to move across the state.
