Rapper Tory Lanez has filed a $100 million lawsuit against the California prison system, alleging he was housed with a fellow inmate who stabbed him 16 times last year.

Lanez, serving a 10-year sentence for shooting Megan Thee Stallion, claims the attack was an unprovoked life-threatening assault by inmate Santino Casio, who used a homemade shank.

The lawsuit alleges that correctional officers' response was slow and that no special measures were used to stop Casio, despite knowing he was a danger.

Lanez also claims the prison unlawfully seized his songbooks with unpublished lyrics of great future commercial value and refused to return them.
