Trader Joe's is set to expand its presence in California with two new stores planned in Paso Robles and Anaheim Hills. The grocery chain intends to open at least 20 outlets this year, two of which have already opened.
The California openings are part of a larger rollout that includes new locations across several states, such as Washington, Illinois, New Jersey, Louisiana, and Utah.
Trader Joe's operates over 600 stores nationwide and has built a loyal customer base through its focus on private-label products, competitive pricing, and a curated shopping experience.
The company's quick changes coincide with grocery retailers' struggle against growing inflation, which is made more difficult by the increase in gas prices.
