US President Donald Trump stated that he believes 'people who do the most' are often targeted by people, referencing the shooting incident at the White House Correspondents' dinner.

During his emergency press conference, Trump made a reference to Abraham Lincoln, who was also assassinated.

Multiple shots were fired at the White House correspondents' dinner, prompting the evacuation of Trump, the first lady, and other leaders.

The suspect, Cole Tomas Allen, is believed to have acted alone and had 'multiple weapons.'

There have been at least two previous assassination attempts against Trump, including one in Pennsylvania and another in Florida.
