US President Donald Trump has claimed that the war with Iran will end 'any time he wants it to end', stating that there is 'practically nothing left to target'.
Trump made the comments in a phone interview with Axios, amid escalating tensions in the Middle East region.
Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz said that the joint striking campaign with the US would continue 'as long as necessary', with strikes in Tehran and across the country continuing 'day after day, target after target'.
Trump warned Iran not to 'try anything cute', saying that if they do, it would be the end of the country.
He also warned of fresh military consequences over reports of mines in the Strait of Hormuz, the world's biggest oil chokepoint.
