US President Donald Trump has dismissed claims of a dispute with Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu, saying their relationship remains strong despite ongoing tensions in the Middle East.
Speaking to reporters, Trump described his relationship with Netanyahu as 'extraordinary' and insisted that the two leaders are aligned in their approach to the Iran conflict.
The remarks come as the US and Israel continue their military campaign against Iran, now in its third week, which has destabilised the region and disrupted global energy markets.
Trump also revealed that his administration is in talks with seven countries to help secure the Strait of Hormuz, a critical shipping route through which 20% of the world's oil supply passes.
He urged countries that rely on Gulf oil to help protect the passage, warning that North Atlantic Treaty Organization could face a 'very bad' future if its members fail to support Washington.
