United States President Donald Trump finds himself increasingly isolated globally as the war with Iran rages on, with his NATO allies refusing to join the conflict.

Despite Trump's repeated requests for NATO countries to participate in the war, particularly to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, the allies have pushed back, citing a lack of willingness to escalate the situation.

French President Emmanuel Macron and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer have both stated that their countries will not participate in the war, with Macron saying that France was not consulted and was not part of the military offensive launched by the US and Israel.

Spain has also closed its airspace for American planes involved in the war, while Italy has refused to allow US military assets to use Sicily's Sigonella air base for an operation linked to the war.

Trump has hinted that the US could end its operation in Iran in two to three weeks, even if there was no deal made, and has also suggested that he might pull out of NATO for its lack of support in the current conflict.
