US President Donald Trump has issued a fresh warning to Iran, urging its negotiators to 'get serious' about a deal ahead of peace talks. Trump claimed that Iranian negotiators are 'begging' for a deal despite the country being 'militarily obliterated.'

Iran has rejected a 15-point ceasefire proposal put forward by the United States, which includes sanctions relief, a rollback of Tehran's nuclear programme, and limits on its missile capabilities. In response, Iran has floated its own plan, calling for a halt to the targeting of its officials, guarantees that no further war would be waged against it, and recognition of its sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz.

The conflict has already taken a heavy toll across the region, with over 1,500 people killed in Iran, nearly 1,100 in Lebanon, and dozens in Israel and elsewhere. Tensions remain high as missile strikes and air raids continue, even as diplomatic efforts to end the fighting remain uncertain.
