US President Donald Trump shared a minute-long aerial video on his Truth Social account, showing multiple targets being hit on the ground and clouds of black smoke emanating from the sites where bombs are dropped.
The video, which Trump didn't caption, is of unclassified footage and shows a patch of land being bombed. Iran's Fars news agency reported that over 15 explosions were heard on Kharg Island as US carried out the strikes that targeted air defenses, a naval base, and airport facilities.
Trump dubbed the strike as the “most powerful bombing raids in the History of the Middle East” and said that he chose to leave the oil infrastructure on the Kharg Island intact.
Iran has vowed retaliation after the Kharg island strikes, threatening to destroy US-linked oil infrastructure.
