The Iranian embassy in India mocked a 2020 social media post by US President Donald Trump, claiming Iran had never won a war. Trump's post was after the assassination of Qassem Soleimani, a top official of Iran's IRGC. He wrote, 'Iran never won a war, but never lost a negotiation!' The Iranian embassy shared a screenshot of the post, saying Iran 'never lost a negotiation' and 'won a major war' against the US.

Both countries claimed victory in the recent war, with Washington backed by Israel. Trump claimed the US 'decimated' the Iranian military, while Tehran framed the 14-day truce as a 'historic win.' The two countries sat down for negotiations in Pakistan, but no result was achieved.

Iran mocked the US again, referring to the 2015 nuclear deal. Trump had withdrawn the US from the pact in 2018, calling it 'defective.' The deal granted Iran access to $100 billion in assets and allowed oil exports in return for reducing enriched uranium stockpile and centrifuge count.
