Trump and other government officials were evacuated from the Washington Hilton on Saturday, April 25, after what sounded like gunshots broke out.
According to Trump's Truth Social post, the Secret Service and Law Enforcement acted quickly and bravely, and the shooter has been apprehended.
Trump has recommended that the show go on, but will be guided by Law Enforcement, who will make a decision shortly.
Several attendees, including senior administration officials, were seen crouching down during the chaos, but remained inside after the president was evacuated.
