US President Donald Trump expressed uncertainty about American patience for the ongoing war with Iran, saying he is unsure whether the public has the endurance to continue the conflict.
During a private Easter lunch at the White House, Trump stated that the US could 'very easily' seize Iran's oil resources but acknowledged that such a move may not align with public expectations.
He also praised the US military for a 'decisive' blow to Iran and reiterated that the military action would end in two to three weeks.
Trump called on Asian economies, particularly South Korea, Japan, and China, to take a more active role in securing the Strait of Hormuz, a key oil transit route.
He also criticized NATO, calling it 'very bad allies' and a 'paper tiger', saying they would not be there if the US ever needed them in a big conflict.
Iran launched missiles toward Israel shortly after Trump's address, prompting Israel's military to respond with its air defence systems.
