The upcoming UN climate summit, COP31, will be a "COP of the Future" according to Turkey's Minister of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change, Murat Kurum.

COP31 will be guided by dialogue, consensus, and action, and will mark a departure from previous COPs with a new model of cooperation developed between Turkey and Australia.

The summit will be held in Antalya this November, and will focus on strengthening the zero waste and circular economy approach, accelerating the clean energy transition, and promoting climate-resilient and sustainable cities.

Turkey's COP31 Presidency aims to bring the expectations of the Parties together on common ground to build a safer world and a more secure global economy for humanity as climate impacts rapidly worsen.
