A US-based AI company, Superhuman, has seen a 57% increase in daily office attendance after introducing a new incentive-driven workplace policy.

The company's 'Ways of Working Program' allows employees to choose from 2- to 5-day in-office plans, with more time spent in the office resulting in higher perks.

Employees who opt to work from the office 2 days a week receive $500 per quarter, while those who choose a full 5-day schedule can get up to $2,000 every quarter.

The policy shift came after an earlier return-to-office mandate failed to gain traction, with many employees choosing to stay remote.

Superhuman's chief people officer, Kenny Mendes, said that the company worked to remove friction points and introduced social and cultural changes to encourage interaction.

The shift appears to have worked, with around 75% of employees living near office hubs opting into the programme and attendance compliance at 85%.
