The White House announced that Vice President JD Vance and the US negotiating delegation will not be traveling to Pakistan on Tuesday, following President Donald Trump's decision to extend the ceasefire with Iran.
Trump made the announcement as ceasefire talks looked increasingly uncertain, with a two-week truce set to expire on Wednesday.
The US military will continue its blockade of Iranian ports, despite the ceasefire extension.
Fighting between Iran and other countries has resulted in over 5,665 deaths since the war started, including at least 3,375 in Iran, over 2,290 in Lebanon, 23 in Israel, and more than a dozen in Gulf Arab states.
Iran has yet to decide whether to join the negotiations in Pakistan, a Foreign Ministry spokesman said earlier Tuesday.
