The US military has struck an Iranian drone carrier, setting the ship ablaze, as part of its ongoing attacks on Iran's navy. US Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed the strike, which comes as American forces continue to target Iran's naval capabilities.
Adm. Brad Cooper described the vessel as roughly the size of a World War II aircraft carrier and stated that it is currently on fire. CENTCOM posted a video of the attack on social media, warning that US forces are determined to sink the entire Iranian Navy.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth emphasized that the US military campaign, known as Operation Epic Fury, remains focused on destroying Iran's offensive missiles, missile production, and navy, while preventing Tehran from acquiring a nuclear weapon.
The Pentagon has already hit over 2,000 targets in Iran, including warships, with CENTCOM head Cooper announcing that US forces have destroyed 30 Iranian warships.
Hegseth warned that Iran is making a grave mistake if it believes the US cannot sustain the ongoing war, stating that Washington has only just begun to fight.
