Trump on Tuesday announced a two-week ceasefire, following a plan from Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir.
The agreement calls for a halt to military strikes, reopening the Strait of Hormuz, and diplomatic talks in Islamabad to work towards a permanent peace deal.
Trump also mentioned receiving a 10-point proposal from Iran, which he called a “workable basis” for talks.
