The United Cajun Navy has accused the Pima County sheriff of stonewalling its offer to assist in the search for Nancy Guthrie. The group sent a 41-page plan to Sheriff Chris Nanos, offering dozens of search dogs and drones to aid in the investigation.
Pima County Deputies Organization President Sgt. Aaron Cross expressed hope that Nanos would accept the help, stating, 'More bodies are always better than less.'
Four detectives and a sergeant from the Pima County Sheriff's Office are working with the FBI on a joint task force to find Nancy.
Meanwhile, DNA on one of the gloves discovered near Nancy's home has been matched to an employee at a restaurant across the street, which authorities had suspected from the beginning.
However, other gloves found near the home may have a different DNA match, posing a challenge for investigators.
Despite this, Sheriff Nanos believes that authorities are 'definitely closer' to tracking down the suspect or suspects in the case.
