The US government has revoked the green cards or visas of at least four Iranian nationals connected to the Islamic Republic regime, including two who claim to be the niece and grand-niece of former top Iranian military leader Gen Qassem Soleimani.
Afshar and her daughter were arrested by ICE and are set to be deported, while Afshar's husband has been banned from entering the United States.
The actions follow a move late last year in which the visas of several diplomats and staffers at Iran's mission to the United Nations were also revoked.
The US State Department claimed Afshar and her daughter had been living a 'lavish lifestyle' in Los Angeles for many years while publicly supporting the Iranian government and anti-American attacks.
