US President Donald Trump has reiterated his vow to take Iran's 'nuclear dust', a reference to the country's highly enriched uranium, amid stalled peace talks.
Trump told Fox News that 'nuclear dust' was 'part of the negotiation' and that the US would work with Iran to 'dig up and remove all of the deeply buried nuclear 'dust''.
The term 'nuclear dust' refers to the highly enriched uranium that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) believes is buried deep underneath the ground following US strikes on three key Iranian nuclear facilities during the 12-day war in June last year.
Tehran has denied any agreement to hand over the uranium, calling the demand 'maximalist', while the US and Israel have expressed concern that the material can be easily converted into 90 per cent weapons-grade uranium.
