The US-Iran conflict has escalated with two US warplanes shot down over the past 24 hours, despite President Donald Trump's warnings to Iran to make a deal.

According to reports, an F-15 jet was initially mistaken for an F-35, which Iran had claimed to have downed earlier in the conflict.

The second fighter jet, an A-10 Warthog, was struck and crashed over Kuwait, with the pilot ejecting.

Two out of three crew members have been rescued by American forces, while one remains missing.

Additionally, two US Black Hawk helicopters involved in the search effort were hit by Iranian fire but managed to exit Iranian airspace.
