Hisham Saleh Abugharbieh, a University of South Florida student, has been arrested on domestic violence charges after the body of his roommate, Zamil Limon, was found.
Limon and another missing student, Nahida S. Bristy, were last seen over a week ago. Limon's body was discovered near the Howard Frankland bridge on April 24.
Abugharbieh, a 27-year-old Bangladeshi student, was arrested on Friday morning after a domestic violence call at his home. He faces charges of domestic violence, battery, false imprisonment, tampering with evidence, failure to report a death, and unlawfully moving a body.
According to authorities, Abugharbieh has a prior history of arrests, including misdemeanor charges for battery and burglary in 2023. Court documents also show that a relative filed two domestic violence petitions against him in 2023, one resulting in an injunction and the other denied by a judge.
