New Delhi, India - The National Academy of Letters has announced the recipients of the Sahitya Akademi Awards for 2025. Among the 24 authors in 24 languages are English author Navtej Sarna and Hindi writer Mamta Kalia.
Sarna has been named for his novel Crimson Spring while Kalia will receive the award for her memoir Jeete Jee Allahabad.
The awardees will receive a casket containing an engraved copper plaque, a shawl and an amount of ₹1 lakh at a ceremony on March 31.
Other notable recipients include Prasun Bandyopadhyay for Shrestha Kabita in Bengali and Jitender Kumar Soni for Bharkhama in Rajasthani.
