More than 6,000 workers from Uttar Pradesh in war-torn Israel are completely safe, the state government said on Sunday. The Chief Minister's Office (CMO) stated that despite the tense situation, all workers are safe and in constant contact with authorities. The assurance comes a day after a UP resident was safely brought back home from Israel.

The government added that arrangements are being worked out to facilitate their return if the situation demands. Senior officials, including Principal Secretary for Labour and Employment Dr Shanmuga Sundaram, are in regular contact with the Indian Embassy to monitor the situation.

Despite concerns over safety, the state government indicated there is no panic among workers at present, with no specific pressure or demand from any worker to return to India.
