An Air India aircraft flying from Delhi to Bengaluru scraped against the runway during landing before performing a go-around on Thursday.

The plane has been grounded, and an investigation has been initiated by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).

The pilots have been off rostered pending the investigation.

Air India spokesperson said the aircraft experienced a tail-strike during landing, but all passengers and crew disembarked normally.

The airline has made alternative arrangements to accommodate affected passengers.

The safety of passengers and crew remains Air India's highest priority.
